September 14 2023, General Directorate of Forestry, Coffee, and Industrial Plants of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry (MALFF), and Conservation International Timor-Leste (CI-TL) conducted the final workshop of the " Securing the long-term conservation of Timor-Leste’s biodiversity and ecosystem services through the establishment of a functioning National Protected Area System and the improvement of natural resource management in priority catchment corridors” (TLSNAP) project. Held at the Suai Room, Timor Plaza in this workshop brought together stakeholders, communities, and village chiefs from ten villages.

The primary goal of workshop was to share a comprehensive updates on project impacts and outcomes to the stakeholders. The project spending overs 4 years in Timor-Leste, had achieved several milestone, inspires communities living in and around the 2 protected areas Mount Legumau and Kutulau.

The workshop witnessed the launch of an interactive online platform for managing protected areas, emphasizing the importance of data management and knowledge sharing for the nation's existing conservation efforts.

During this workshop Mr. Raimundu Mau, Director General Forestry, Coffee, and Industrial Plants, Highlighted the importance of commitment of the government to continue the remaining work. as well as and possible future extended support from Development agencies to strengthen such conservation action
